Afra Gol Caspian Company has a rich history that dates back over six decades, beginning its operations in 1958 under the name "Javid Pharmaceutical" in Mashhad, Iran.Initially focusing on pharmaceuticals, the company expanded its activities to include the manufacturing and importing of raw materials. Thirteen years later, the company relocated to Tehran and rebranded as "Khorasan Pharmaceutical." Over time, its scope grew beyond pharmaceuticals, leading to its transition into the chemical industry, operating as “Khorasan Chemical.”

In 1985, the company introduced "Gol Pharmaceutical," which focused on herbal-based medicinal products. By 1989, the company took another step forward under the brand "Toos Chemical," expanding its product range. Fast forward to 2012, the Javid Toos Group was officially formed, introducing over 100 different products to the Iranian market. Within this group, Afra Gol was established as a manufacturing arm, specializing in skincare, haircare products, and the production of related raw materials.

Afra Gol Caspian Company has become a key player in producing Isothiazolinone (1.5%), a chemical widely used in cosmetics and industrial applications due to its strong bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties. Isothiazolinone is commonly utilized as an in-can preservative in various products, including dishwashing liquids, liquid detergents, cleaners, fabric softeners, and more. The company's formulation includes an aqueous solution of CMIT/MIT stabilized with magnesium salts, ensuring broad-spectrum biocidal protection with low toxicity when used appropriately. Afra Gol’s Isothiazolinone product is also applied in a variety of industries such as personal care, water treatment, and the paper and pulp industry.
