Classification of corn types based on uses

Corn is divided into three groups based on the length of the growth period

• Early varieties: ripening period 70-75 days.
• Intermediate grades: processing period of 80-90 days.
• Late figures: processing period of 90-100 days.

• Fodder harvest: 80-100 days.
• Grain harvest: 110-145 days.

Iranian corn planting method

Iranian corn is planted in two ways: direct and seeding. The suitable temperature for planting is between 19-34 degrees Celsius and the planting depth is between 2.5-5 cm. It is important to use suitable fertilizers and adequate nutrition.

• Germination: 8-10 degrees Celsius.
• Growth: 25-30 degrees Celsius.
• Temperatures 39-40 degrees Celsius cause problems such as leaf burn and reduced product quality.

• Dual-purpose corn: 75-100 thousand seeds or 50-100 kg per hectare.
