Flap valves, known in Persian as دریچه تخلیه, are essential components in water supply systems, wastewater networks, pumping stations, and industrial applications. They are designed to be installed at the end of pipelines, walls, or channels, where they perform several critical functions.

The primary role of a flap valve is to discharge pumped flows or gravitational flows from the inside of a pipe to the outside environment, while at the same time preventing reverse flow that could damage systems or reduce efficiency. Another important function is to block the entry of foreign objects, debris, and vermin such as rodents into the pipeline or channel, thereby protecting the system and maintaining hygienic water quality.

These valves are manufactured in a wide size range of DN 50 to DN 2000 mm, making them suitable for both small-scale and large-scale infrastructure projects. They are built to withstand operating pressures of PN 6 to PN 40 bar, ensuring reliability even under demanding conditions. The body and flap are produced using high-quality cast iron (GJL 250), ductile iron (GJS 400-15), or carbon steel (St 37-2), which guarantees mechanical strength and long service life.

To provide excellent durability and resistance against corrosion, all surfaces are coated with an epoxy powder paint applied by electrostatic spraying. The coating thickness is a minimum of 250 microns, and it comes with internationally approved certifications for potable water applications, making these valves safe and reliable for drinking water systems.

The hinge and spring pins are made from stainless steel, offering strong resistance against wear and corrosion. The sealing elements are made of NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) or EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) elastomers, which ensure effective sealing performance, chemical resistance, and long-term reliability.
