Acrylic Copolymer-Based Concrete Adhesive & Bonding Agent
Bond ABA 401 is a high-performance, single-component adhesive and bonding agent based on acrylic-modified copolymer resins. Specially formulated for use in cement-based applications, it significantly enhances the durability, mechanical strength, and water resistance of concrete and mortar. When used as a bonding agent or additive, it provides superior adhesion, protects repaired areas, and improves long-term stability against environmental factors such as freeze-thaw cycles, chemical exposure, and abrasion.
This product is highly versatile and can be employed in a wide range of construction applications, both in industrial and residential projects. Its excellent compatibility with cement-based materials ensures uniform performance and long-lasting results.
Applications
- Concrete repairs: Filling cracks, repairing damaged slabs, columns, beams, and other structural elements.
- Mortar and screed enhancement: Improving workability, adhesion, and water resistance of floor screeds and finishing mortars.
- Exterior plastering and façade coatings: Providing enhanced bonding on vertical and overhead surfaces.
- Waterproofing mortars and storage tanks: Suitable for cementitious waterproofing applications in reservoirs, water tanks, and basements.
- Tile and brick installation on sloped surfaces: Ensures strong adhesion and durability for exterior and interior applications.
- Anti-corrosion coating for steel: Protects reinforcement bars in concrete and other steel structures from rust and corrosion.
- Concrete curing and crack prevention: Applied immediately after finishing to prevent early-age cracking due to rapid drying.

Usage Instructions
As a Concrete Additive
- Designed for Portland cement mixtures.
- Enhances adhesion, fills voids, and reduces permeability.
- Dosage: 0.2–1.2% of cement weight.
- Mix thoroughly with cement and aggregates to achieve a homogeneous, durable concrete or mortar mix.
As a Bonding Layer for Repairs
- Pre-wet absorbent surfaces like concrete, brick, or stone. Ensure the surface is moist but free of excess water.
- Mix bonding slurry: 2 parts cement + 1 part Bond ABA 401 (by volume).
- Apply with a stiff brush to form a thin layer (≤ 1 mm), filling visible pores and gaps.
- If a second layer is required, apply before the first layer dries completely.
Surface Preparation
- Ensure substrates are sound, free from dust, laitance, oils, grease, curing agents, or other contaminants.
- Preparation methods include sandblasting, grinding, or wire brushing.
Limitations
- Minimum application temperature: +2°C
- Maximum application temperature: +52°C
Tool Cleaning
- Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with water.
- Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Storage & Shelf Life
- Store in original containers, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and rain.
- Shelf life: 10 months.
Packaging Options
Available in 4L and 12L containers for easy handling and bulk export.
Safety Guidelines
- Non-toxic, but use standard personal protective equipment (PPE): gloves, goggles, and workwear.
- In case of skin, eye, or mucous contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.
